Celebrate on the Douro
Christmas or New Year on board M.S. Douro Prince ***PLUS

Northern Portugal's Douro Valley is one of Europe's best kept secrets. Where once vessels laden with barrels of Port drifted downstream to Porto, river cruise ships can now offer passengers a unique taste of this unspoilt area of the country. Our cruise on board the friendly and intimate MS Douro Prince, which accomodates just 48 passengers, offers the opportunity to sail this delightful river during the festive season and experience some of the local flavour.

YOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1
Depart from London Heathrow to Porto and transfer to MS Douro Prince. Join us for a welcome drink in the lounge this evening before dinner.
DAY 2
This morning discover Porto's wealth of historic treasures on a city tour. After lunch on board the ship sails to Entre-os Rios Quay where arrival will be at 17.00 hrs.
DAY 3
At 09.00 hrs. the ship sails to Regua where arrival will be at 12.30 hrs. After lunch on board there will be tour to Vila Real, an old Episcopal Town and the capital of the Port wine region. We return to the ship in Pinhao at 17.00 hrs.
DAY 4
The ship departs Pinhao at 08.00 hrs. this morning and arrives in Regua at 10.00 hrs. Your have some free time this morning to discover Regua at your leisure or relax on board. At 12.00 hrs. we transfer to a local Quinta for lunch. Later this afternoon, enjoy a tour of Lamego, one of the most attractive cities in Portugal. The ship moors in Regua this evening.
DAY 5
We sail after breakfast to Biteos where arrival will be at 12.00 hrs. Upon arrival we transfer to the Alpendurada Monastry for lunch. We return to the ship this afternoon and sail back to Porto where we will moor overnight. As we arrive late afternoon, you have a further opportunity to discover Porto at your leisure.
DAY 6
Disembark the ship after breakfast and transfer to Porto Airport for the return flight to London Heathrow.
